Best Things about being from Fort Worth

I shared with our friends around the world the “Best thing about being from Fort Worth”.

Today's "Best thing about being from Fort Worth" was giving our Japanese friends from NEC Corporation a proper Texas welcome while in Barcelona, Spain.

We first pitched them (in Japanese) on the benefits of doing business in the City of Fort Worth, then shared some innovative Smart Cities projects, and finally made them all cowboys and cowgirls (which is considered cool all around the world).

Barcelona | November 14, 2023

Today's "Best thing about being from Fort Worth while in Barcelona” was realizing almost everyone at a small, local gym (Crossfit Eixample) had heard the City of Fort Worth was hosting The CrossFit Games in 2024.

Who knew they had any idea where Fort Worth was? It was remarkable.

Coach Stella (from Italy) told me, “Vamos a Fort Worth!”

And then I ate croissants.

Proud to see the City of Fort Worth well represented in Barcelona, Spain at the Smart Cities World Expo Congress. We were featured on panel discussions with other city leaders for our work on Public Private Partnerships (@cisco) and Trustworthy Innovation (US Ignite), and our team greeted thousands of international visitors at our booth in the USA Pavilion.
