Autonomous Vehicles in Arizona
I took my first autonomous vehicle Uber ride this week in Phoenix and it was terrifyingly cool. Ironically, I was in Arizona to present about innovation in the City of Fort Worth, Texas along with other experts from Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Las Vegas.
Olympics, Superbowls, and World Cups were among the topics of how large cities were leveraging innovation to host major events.
Takeaways - I unlocked the car from my phone as it came to pick me up, I was able to choose my own radio station during the ride, and the car slowed down momentarily whenever it passed someone walking on the sidewalk.
It was a remarkable experience and solid peek into the (very near) future.
